Folded Flesh extends the artist’s ongoing inquiry into the mutable architecture of the self, rendering the body as both origin and artefact. Here, the body form is reconstituted through casting, fabric, print, and improvised hardware, creating hybrid sculptures that oscillate between vulnerability and defiance. The work scrutinises the gap between subject and object, positioning the artist’s own flesh as a fetishised component within its sculptural reimagining. Emotional registers-pleasure, discomfort, extasis- are inscribed into each fold and contour, exposing the tensions inherent in self-representation. By applying photographic imagery into tactile, DIY-inflected structures, Folded Flesh unravels the stability of the body, suggesting it as a site of continuous reconstruction, erotic charge, and self-authored transformation.
